The Solution
After discussions, one of our specialist advisers facilitated a series of structured meetings over several months that helped his managers create a strategic action plan to address the needs of the company and their roles within it. By involving his key people in a vision for the future, the managing director generated a focused and motivated team to help him take the business to the next level.

The Challenge
A Glasgow-based Public Transport Company had depended on technology for its administration and reporting procedures. Due to expansion and promotion of some of their key personnel, the company identified an urgent need to update the skills of their staff in three Microsoft packages' from elementary to advanced levels.

Our Solution
The GO team went into immediate action and delivered Microsoft courses in Excel, Word and PowerPoint to specific groups using the IT suite at GO's Business and Training Centre in Glasgow. Case Study 6: Managing Change in Business

The Challenge
Due to organisational re-structuring, some departments within a London-based financial institution were experiencing sudden changes in management and the subsequent application of new internal procedures. These were creating new challenges for the IT department and so the company sought guidance on how best to provide the support the IT team needed.

The Solution
A preliminary one day session with the company helped our team understand the situation. We then devised and ran a course for the London IT department at the clients Glasgow office. Participants found time and a supportive atmosphere in which to share their concerns away from their normal place of work. This approach enabled the department to resolve their problems and helped the company negotiate a stressful period of change. GO has delivered further courses in managing change to their HR team.
