New Enterprise Allowance Programme

MentoringThe New Enterprise Allowance Mentoring Programme is aimed at supporting Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) clients who have been claiming for 26-weeks or more with the transition to self-employment.

Participants will get access to a volunteer business mentor who will provide guidance and support as they develop their business plan and through the early months of trading. Once a client can demonstrate they have a viable business proposition with the potential for growth in the future, they will be able to access financial support.

Mentoring

The GO Group, in partnership with Glasgow's Regeneration Agency is responsible for delivering the mentor support element of the New Enterprise Allowance Programme in the Glasgow City area.

Our mentors will provide support to Job Centre Plus customers making the transition to self-employment.  Mentoring support for each New Enterprise Allowance Mentee will span a period of 8 months, approximately 2 months in the pre-startup phase and 6 months once trading has commenced.
